Xbox Game Port Delayed "Indefinitely," Microsoft Apologizes To Dev

Jyamma Games, the developer behind the Italian-inspired souls-like game Enotria: The Last Song, has indefinitely delayed the Xbox version due to Microsoft being non-responsive.

According to a Discord post by Jyamma studio CEO Jacky Greco (via Windows Central), an Xbox version is ready for submission. However, Microsoft has seemingly ignored the studio’s submission ahead of the game’s September 18 release date.

“We believe that Xbox is blessed with a huge gaming community and we would love to release Enotria on your platform as fast as possible, as we spent a lot of money and resources to make it happen, but this task is nearly impossible with Microsoft taking months to reply to us when we have the game ready for submission,” Jyamma Games explained in a statement. “If you’d like to help please let Xbox know about our situation, if we had a dedicated xbox account manager help us out this issue would not exist, thank you so much!”

The developer later added that Microsoft apologized for the situation, with CEO Jacky Greco writing on Discord (via Eurogamer) that the company reached out after the initial complaints were made. A timetable for when the problems will be rectified was not provided.

Xbox has seen a number of games skip the platform, at least at launch, due to a variety of factors. Black Myth: Wukong reportedly has a non-publicized timed exclusivity deal with Sony, although other reports dispute that. Capcom’s remasters such as Ace Attorney Investigations and Capcom Fighting Game Collection were initially skipped over for Xbox as well. However, Capcom revealed that as a result of technical discussions with Microsoft, the latter and the second compilation are coming to Xbox in 2025.

Microsoft requires feature parity and simultaneous launches across Series S and Series X, which has also contributed to delays. Most infamously, Baldur’s Gate 3 was released late for Xbox last year due to technical complications related to the Series S version. However, that’s not the case with Enotria, as the developer said on Twitter, “It’s not a performance issue, the game works better as expected on series S, and really good on series X, but we cannot proceed through the submission process and the reply from microsoft can take up to 2 months.”

Baldur’s Gate 3’s latest patch has introduced a ‘very frustrating, borderline unplayable’ glitch that makes companions dump their inventories on you-

Update: In a statement to PCG, Larian says that the problem players are running into with the shared stash system is “not the intended behavior and will be fixed in an upcoming update.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 is excellent. Historically excellent, in fact, but it’s not without its flaws. The first of these, of course, is that Astarion was not voiced with Neil Newbon’s original Brummie accent, but the game’s awkward inventory system is a close-run second. I don’t know about you, but I probably spent at least a couple of hours of playtime standing stock-still in camp, desperately trying to give my chaotic inventory and those of my allies some semblance of organisation. It never worked.

The third patch for the game tried to ameliorate that a bit, i…
